Our proposals

There is an acute need for new houses of all types and tenures to be delivered in this part of Yorkshire. Rising houseprices and rents are just two consequences of historically slow rates of housebuilding, but the lack of supply and choice has many other adverse effects on people’s quality of life and wellbeing.

Maltkiln, our proposed new settlement, will offer its new community the benefits of both rural and urban living, as well as improving the range and accessibility of community, retail and leisure amenities for existing residents living in nearby villages.

Residents of Maltkiln will be encouraged to make decisions on its amenities and subsequent uses, with the new settlement combining open spaces with health and wellbeing.
